Then I switch over to English, to make it possible for everyone in the room to understand me. Today we have been privileged enought to get someone with deep knowledge about system administration, who has written a few books about system administration and is lecturing at the university College of Oslo. And is working on a Ph.D with system administration as the topic. So I welcome Æleen Frisch. Hi. Do I need to stay in the cameras frame? No. Great. Cause I can not reach the mouse from the cameras frame. Look at that screen. Cause I am going to stand in front of that screen, based on cable length. OK. Hi. My name is Æleen Frisch. I live in Connecticut, in the US, usually. But I am here for a semester, January to June. Teaching at the University College and their master degree program in system administration. Connecticut is near New York city, if you are not familiar with US geography. I am not that familiar with Norwegian geography. I know where Tromsø is, I know where Stavanger is. I've tried to learn all provices or "fylke", but not yet succeeded. So tonight we will talk about Kerberos. Kerberos is something I have been interested in learning more about for a long time. It is not something that I have a lot of experience with, so I took this opportunity to learn more about i t. So hopefully you are not all Kerberos experts, otherwise this is, kind of, not going to be the greatest thing. How may of you are using Kerberos? Great, a few of you. So if I say anything wrong, feel free to correct me. I hope I won't, but I stade away from the dark and scary corners. Kerberos really is the right way to do authentication securely. And I have been convinced of that for a while. But it is a bit of, not a terrible learning curve, but it is a bit of a barrier to get startet. And a lot of places still are not using it. For example at the college they are not using it.
