KONY 2012
-
0:03 - 0:05Hiçbir ţey zamaný gelmiţ...
-
0:05 - 0:21bir fikirden daha önemli deđildir.
-
-
0:58 - 1:05"Kendinize güveniyorsanýz bisiklet sürmeyi öđrenirsiniz! Ýzleyin ve öđrenin!"
-
1:05 - 1:09"Teknik olarak cihazýnýz açýk durumda. Onaylayabilir misiniz?"
-
1:09 - 1:14"Oh! Çok heyecanlý!"
-
1:14 - 1:18Ve bu bađlantý düntanýn çalýţmasýný deđiţtiriyor.
-
1:18 - 1:21Devletler buna yetiţmeye çalýţýyor.
-
1:21 - 1:24Ţimdi özgürlüđü deneyebiliyoruz.
-
1:24 - 1:27Ve geçmiţ nesiller kaygýlý.
-
1:27 - 1:30"Çođu insan yarýndan kaygýlý. Seneye durumlar kötüleţebilir."
-
1:30 - 1:33Oyunun yeni kurallarý var.
-
1:33 - 1:39Önümüzdeki 27 dakika bir deney.
-
1:39 - 2:13Ama iţe yaramasý için dikkatinizi vermeniz gerekiyor.
-
2:13 - 2:19"Onu duyabiliyorum!"
-
2:19 - 2:24Dünyadaki her hayat böyle baţladý.
-
2:24 - 2:28Nerede ve ne zaman dođacađýný kendisi seçmedi.
-
2:28 - 2:33Ama o burada, ve bu yüzden önemi var.
-
2:33 - 2:37"Evet! Seni bekliyorduk! Baţardýn!"
-
2:37 - 2:48Benim adým Jason Russell ve bu da ođlum, Gavin.
-
2:48 - 2:55Trambolinde zýplamayý, ninja olmayý ve dans etmeyi seviyor.
-
2:55 - 2:57"Ne yapýyorsun?"
-
2:57 - 2:58"Kar meleđi!"
-
2:58 - 2:59"Nasýl yapýyorsun bunu?"
-
2:59 - 3:00"Böyle!"
-
3:00 - 3:05Ve týpký babasý gibi, filmlerde oynamayý seviyor.
-
3:05 - 3:07"Motor!"
-
3:07 - 3:11"Dikkat! Dikkat edin! Koţun! Bir bomba!"
-
3:11 - 3:19Ve film yapmayý da seviyor.
-
3:19 - 3:21"Baba bak!"
-
3:21 - 3:25"Sanýrým vidyoyu çektik."
-
3:25 - 3:28Ama o çok karýţýk bir dünyada dođdu.
-
3:28 - 3:35Bir baba olarak onun benden daha iyi bir dünyada büyümesini istiyorum.
-
3:35 - 3:37Ve hayatýmdaki olaylar zinciri sayesinde oraya ulaţmak için bir yol görüyorum.
-
3:37 - 3:41Bu benim mesleđim oldu.
-
3:41 - 3:43Siz bir savaţý bitirmek için kimsiniz ki?
-
3:43 - 3:47Ben burada size aslýnda kim olduđunuzu söylemek için varým.
-
3:47 - 3:48"Hey Gavin, nasýlsýn?"
-
3:48 - 3:51Gavin dođmadan yýllar önce, hayatým baţka bir çocuk tarafýndan deđiţmiţti.
-
3:51 - 3:56"Buradaki kim?"
-
3:56 - 3:57"Jacob."
-
3:57 - 3:59"Jacob kim?"
-
3:59 - 4:03"Jacob bizim Afrika'daki arkadaţýmýz."
-
4:03 - 4:10Ben Jacob'la arkadaţ olalý 10 yýl kadar oluyor.
-
4:10 - 4:17"Sorun yok, onlar iyi. Onlar köpekbalýđý deđil."
-
-
6:53 - 6:56"Seni seviyorum, fakat artýk seni özlüyorum."
-
6:56 - 7:00"Ve buluţmamýz daha iyi olur."
-
7:00 - 7:03"Burada buluţamayacađýz ama belki cenette..."
-
7:03 - 7:04"Görüyor musun?"
-
7:04 - 7:05"Böyle daha iyi."
-
7:05 - 7:06Koţ konuţmayacađým.
-
7:06 - 7:08Bir ţey baţlatacađým.
-
7:08 - 7:10"Çünkü kardeţimi bir daha görseydim..."
-
7:10 - 7:21"Hmm?"
-
7:21 - 7:23"Tamam."
-
7:23 - 7:30"Jacob, geçti."
-
7:30 - 7:34Kalbimdeki her ţey bana bir ţey yapmamý söyledi.
-
7:34 - 7:36Ben de ona bir söz verdim.
-
7:36 - 7:42"Biz ayný zamanda onlarý durdurmak için elimizden gelen her ţeyi yapacađýz."
-
7:42 - 7:45"Dediđimi duydun mu?"
-
7:45 - 7:45"Evet."
-
7:45 - 7:47"Dediđimi anladýn mý?"
-
7:47 - 7:47"Evet."
-
7:47 - 7:48"Hmm?"
-
7:48 - 7:49"Evet."
-
7:49 - 7:52"Biz. Biz onlarý durduracađýz."
-
7:52 - 7:59"Onlarý biz durduracađýz."
-
7:59 - 8:08Jacob'a o sözü verirken anlamýný bilmiyordum, fakat ţimdi biliyorum.
-
8:08 - 8:11Geçtiđimiz dokuz yýlda, sözümü tutmak için savaţtým.
-
8:11 - 8:14Ve bu savaţ beni buraya getirdi.
-
8:14 - 8:16Ţu an izlediđiniz filme getirdi.
-
8:16 - 8:18Çünkü verdiđim söz sadece Jacob ve benimle ilgili deđil.
-
8:18 - 8:21Ayný zamanda sizinle ilgili.
-
8:21 - 8:27And this year, 2012, is the year that we can finally fulfill it
-
8:27 - 8:34And if we succeed, we change the course of human history
-
8:34 - 8:35But time is running out.
-
8:35 - 8:40To level with you, this movie expires on December 31, 2012
-
8:40 - 8:45And its only purpose is to stop the rebel group, the LRA
-
8:45 - 8:47And their leader, Joseph Kony
-
8:47 - 8:50And I'm about to tell you exactly how we're going to do it.
-
8:50 - 9:05So the thing is that my son Gavin has never
-
9:05 - 9:12I've never really explained to him what I do
-
9:12 - 9:13He knows I work in Africa
-
9:13 - 9:16But he doesn't know what the war's about
-
9:16 - 9:18Or who Joseph Kony is
-
9:18 - 9:21And I'm gonna explain it to him for the first time today
-
9:21 - 9:24That's what we're going
-
9:24 - 9:25So, Gav, are you ready?
-
9:25 - 9:26Yeah
-
9:26 - 9:27I'm gonna ask you some questions
-
9:27 - 9:28Okay
-
9:28 - 9:31And you can just look at me and answer the questions
-
9:31 - 9:32I'm kinda nervous
-
9:32 - 9:35What do I do for a job?
-
9:35 - 9:38Ah! You stop the bad guys from being mean
-
9:38 - 9:40Who are the bad guys?
-
9:40 - 9:42Um
-
9:42 - 9:44Do you know
-
9:44 - 9:45Star Wars people
-
9:45 - 9:47Star Wars people? Those are the bad guys?
-
9:47 - 9:48Yeah
-
9:48 - 9:50Can I tell you the bad guy's name?
-
9:50 - 9:51Yeah
-
9:51 - 9:54This is the guy, Joseph Kony
-
9:54 - 9:57He's the bad guy?
-
9:57 - 9:58Yeah
-
9:58 - 10:01Who is this?
-
10:01 - 10:02Jacob
-
10:02 - 10:07Joseph Kony, he has an army, okay?
-
10:07 - 10:12And what he does is he takes children from their parents
-
10:12 - 10:17And he gives them a gun to shoot
-
10:17 - 10:19And he makes them shoot and kill other people.
-
10:19 - 10:24But they're not gonna do what he says because they're nice guys, right?
-
10:24 - 10:30Yeah they don't want to do what he says
-
10:30 - 10:32But he forces them to do bad things
-
10:32 - 10:33What do you think about that?
-
10:33 - 10:37It's sad
-
10:37 - 10:42I couldn't explain to Gavin the details of what Joseph Kony really does
-
10:42 - 10:57Because the truth is, Kony abducts kids just like Gavin.
-
10:57 - 11:08For 26 years, Kony has been kidnapping children into his rebel group, the LRA
-
11:08 - 11:11Turning the girls into sex slaves
-
11:11 - 11:19And the boys into child soldiers
-
11:19 - 11:24He makes them mutilate people's faces
-
11:24 - 11:30And he forces them to kill their own parents
-
11:30 - 11:34And this is not just a few children
-
11:34 - 11:49It's been over 30,000 of them
-
11:49 - 11:51And Jacob was one of those children
-
11:51 - 11:54As if Kony's crimes aren't bad enough
-
11:54 - 11:58He's not fighting for any cause, but only to maintain his power
-
11:58 - 12:02He is not supported by anyone
-
12:02 - 12:07And he has repeatedly used peace talks to rearm and murder again and again
-
12:07 - 12:13Kony, different times, proposed peace and then just regain strength and attack
-
12:13 - 12:18This is the head prosecutor for the International Criminal Court
-
12:18 - 12:24In 2002 when the court was started, their job was
-
12:24 - 12:27To find and demand the arrest of the world's worst criminals
-
12:27 - 12:32Although there are a lot of war lords, murderers, and dictators in the world
-
12:32 - 12:37The perversity of Kony's crimes made him first on the court's list
-
12:37 - 12:40Kony's the first guy indicted by the ICC
-
12:40 - 12:42The crimes are basically crimes against humanity
-
12:42 - 12:45And war crimes committed against the civillian population
-
12:45 - 12:50Including murder, sexual slavery, rapes, abductions
-
12:50 - 12:53We need to plan how to arrest Kony
-
12:53 - 12:54Start to plan
-
12:54 - 12:56And it has to be serious
-
12:56 - 12:58In fact, the only way to stop Kony is to show him
-
12:58 - 12:59Hey, we're going to arrest you
-
12:59 - 13:09What do you think we should do about it?
-
13:09 - 13:10You should stop him
-
13:10 - 13:11The criminal here is Kony.
-
13:11 - 13:13Stop him and then solve all the problems
-
13:13 - 13:14We should stop who?
-
13:14 - 13:17Him.
-
13:17 - 13:21It's obvious that Kony should be stopped
-
13:21 - 13:24The problem is 99% of the planet doesn't know who he is
-
13:24 - 13:28If they knew, Kony would have been stopped long ago
-
13:28 - 13:31Let the world, let the international community
-
13:31 - 13:33Take justice to him there
-
13:33 - 13:34Follow him wherever he is
-
13:34 - 13:36First to rescue our children
-
13:36 - 13:39And secondly, to deliver the justice
-
13:39 - 13:42We are determined to cooperate with any friend of Uganda
-
13:42 - 13:47To ensure that this mindless killing and slaughter is ended
-
13:47 - 13:51When my friends and I came home from Uganda
-
13:51 - 13:56We thought that if the government knew, they would do something to stop him
-
13:56 - 13:59But everyone in Washington we talked to said
-
13:59 - 14:02There is no way the United States will ever get involved
-
14:02 - 14:07In a conflict where our national security or financial interests aren't at stake
-
14:07 - 14:12No administration, republican, democrat, Obama, Bush, Clinton, doesn't matter
-
14:12 - 14:16Would do enough because it's simply not an important enough issue
-
14:16 - 14:18On the radar screen of American Foreign Policy
-
14:18 - 14:22Since the government said it was impossible
-
14:22 - 14:24We didn't know what else to do
-
14:24 - 14:29But tell everyone we could about Jacob and the Invisible Children
-
14:29 - 14:34We're going to show this movie to as many people as possible
-
14:34 - 14:35In such a way that we can't be ignored
-
14:35 - 14:37And when we did, people were shocked
-
14:37 - 14:40And their awareness turned into action
-
14:40 - 14:43We started something
-
14:43 - 14:44A community
-
14:44 - 14:52I have friends that have been living in this conflict their entire life
-
14:52 - 14:55Fight for that, because that is what is going to change this world
-
14:55 - 14:56And that is what defines us
-
14:56 - 14:57We got creative and we got loud
-
14:57 - 15:03It's not over! It's not over! It's not over!
-
15:03 - 15:05And as the LRA began to move into other countries
-
15:05 - 15:08Jacob and other Ugandans came to the US
-
15:08 - 15:13To speak on behalf of all people suffering because of Kony
-
15:13 - 15:15Even though Uganda was relatively safe
-
15:15 - 15:19They felt compelled to tell the world that Kony was still out there
-
15:19 - 15:22And had to be stopped
-
15:22 - 15:25I'm here so proud advocating for the people who are back at home
-
15:25 - 15:27And this change we are going to make is going to last forever
-
15:27 - 15:34We built a community around the idea that where you live
-
15:34 - 15:35Shouldn't determine whether you live
-
15:35 - 15:37We were committed to stop Kony and rebuild what he had destroyed
-
15:37 - 15:43And because we couldn't wait for and institutions or governments to step in
-
15:43 - 15:46We did it ourselves
-
15:46 - 15:50With our time, talent, and money
-
15:50 - 15:52So we rebuilt schools
-
15:52 - 15:56The best you can offer a child is by letting them be independent
-
15:56 - 15:59And that was providing education
-
15:59 - 16:01We created jobs
-
16:01 - 16:05I have seen the lives of those who have been hopeless
-
16:05 - 16:07Now they have hope
-
16:07 - 16:11And we built and early warning radio network on the front line of the war
-
16:11 - 16:18To protect villages from rebel attacks
-
16:18 - 16:20So you update real-time what's happening in a war zone 8,000 miles away
-
16:20 - 16:26All of this was funded by an army of young people
-
16:26 - 16:34Who put their money toward their belief in the value of all human life
-
16:34 - 16:35They gave a few dollars a month of what little they had
-
16:35 - 16:40To a program called Tri
-
16:40 - 16:41And proved that a bunch of littles could make a big difference
-
16:41 - 16:46And as a result the unseen became visible
-
16:46 - 16:50We've seen these kids
-
16:50 - 16:53We've heard their cries
-
16:53 - 16:58This war must end
-
16:58 - 17:01We will not stop
-
17:01 - 17:04We will not fear
-
17:04 - 17:09We will fight war
-
17:09 - 17:28Deliver your voice
-
17:28 - 17:31I've talked to people from Mexico, from Canada
-
17:31 - 17:33From every other state that I can think of
-
17:33 - 17:34We're all doing this for the exact same reason
-
17:34 - 17:37And we're all coming from completely different places
-
17:37 - 17:38This is what the world should be like
-
17:38 - 17:49So with hundreds of thousands of people with us
-
17:49 - 17:50We went back to Washington DC and we met with Congressmen and Senators
-
17:50 - 17:56One by one
-
17:56 - 18:00On both sides, republicans, democrats, and they all agreed with us
-
18:00 - 18:03Joseph Kony's crimes had to be stopped
-
18:03 - 18:07Of all the problems that are out there, none is more severe than one that
-
18:07 - 18:10Mutilates the lives of little kids
-
18:10 - 18:13These young members of the Invisible Children organization
-
18:13 - 18:18Know that no child should live in fear of being abducted or killed
-
18:18 - 18:23So they were determined to become their voice
-
18:23 - 18:25They realized that these African children and families
-
18:25 - 18:27Were invisible to Washington policy makers
-
18:27 - 18:30So they decided to make them visible
-
18:30 - 18:32And what I was told would never happen
-
18:32 - 18:35Suddenly became possible
-
18:35 - 18:38In furtherance of the Congress' stated policy, I have authorized
-
18:38 - 18:43A small number of US forces to deploy to Central Africa
-
18:43 - 18:45To provide assistance to regional forces that are working toward
-
18:45 - 18:48The removal of Joseph Kony from the battlefield
-
18:48 - 18:55Sincerely, Barack Obama
-
18:55 - 18:58The surprise announcement came in a letter from the White House
-
18:58 - 19:00The US president's decision commits US troops to help
-
19:00 - 19:02Through advice and assistance
-
19:02 - 19:05Not putting Americans into combat, to help the countries of the region
-
19:05 - 19:08End this threat once and for all
-
19:08 - 19:13And that was a worthwhile investment
-
19:13 - 19:15We used to think that we could not do it
-
19:15 - 19:19And now when I see we can do it I am overwhelmed
-
19:19 - 19:26After 8 years of work, the government finally heard us
-
19:26 - 19:30And in October of 2011, 100 American advisors were sent into Central Africa
-
19:30 - 19:36To assist the Ugandan army in arresting Kony and stopping the LRA
-
19:36 - 19:41It was the first time in history that the United States took that kind of action
-
19:41 - 19:46Because the people demanded it
-
19:46 - 19:46Not for self defense, but because it was right
-
19:46 - 20:22We have come some far
-
20:22 - 20:26But Kony is still out there
-
20:26 - 20:29He recently changed his tactics
-
20:29 - 20:32Making it more difficult to capture him
-
20:32 - 20:38And international support could be removed at anytime
-
20:38 - 20:40If we take the pressure off
-
20:40 - 20:41If we are not successful
-
20:41 - 20:43He is going to be growing his numbers
-
20:43 - 20:47People forget and you got remind them
-
20:47 - 20:49And take numbers to remind them
-
20:49 - 20:51And if interest wanes, then
-
20:51 - 20:53It will just, it will go away
-
20:53 - 20:55And I'd end up standing out there alone
-
20:55 - 20:57Trying to do something to
-
20:57 - 20:59Support completing the mission
-
20:59 - 21:00It got be 2012
-
21:00 - 21:02It is not bad for the youth
-
21:02 - 21:03It is bad for the world if we fail
-
21:03 - 21:06It is not important just for Ugandan people
-
21:06 - 21:10It is important for everyone
-
21:10 - 21:17It is hard to look back at some parts of human history
-
21:17 - 21:19Because when we heard about injustice
-
21:19 - 21:20We cared
-
21:20 - 21:24But we didnât know what to do
-
21:24 - 21:26Too often
-
21:26 - 21:27We did nothing
-
21:27 - 21:29But it we going to change that
-
21:29 - 21:32We have to start somewhere
-
21:32 - 21:34So we starting here
-
21:34 - 21:36With Joseph Kony
-
21:36 - 21:39Because now, we know what to do
-
21:39 - 21:40Here it is
-
21:40 - 21:42Ready?
-
21:42 - 21:45In order for Kony to be arrested this year
-
21:45 - 21:49The Ugandan military has to find him
-
21:49 - 21:51In order to find him
-
21:51 - 21:56They need the technology and training to track him in the vast jungle
-
21:56 - 21:58That where the Americans advisors come in
-
21:58 - 22:01But it order for the Americans advisors to be there
-
22:01 - 22:04The US government has to deploy them
-
22:04 - 22:06They have done that
-
22:06 - 22:09But it the government doesn't believe the people care about arresting Kony
-
22:09 - 22:12The mission will be cancelled
-
22:12 - 22:14In order for the people they care, they have to know.
-
22:14 - 22:26This is the dream
-
22:26 - 22:29Kony arrested for all the world to see
-
22:29 - 22:34And for the abducted children returned home
-
22:34 - 22:36Here is the biggest problem
-
22:36 - 22:38Want to know what it is?
-
22:38 - 22:39Yeah
-
22:39 - 22:40Nobody knows who he is
-
22:40 - 22:45But I know who he is
-
22:45 - 22:51Because I see him on this picture right now
-
22:51 - 22:52He is not famous
-
22:52 - 22:55He is invisible, joseph Kony is invisible
-
22:55 - 23:01Here is how we going to make him visible
-
23:01 - 23:03We are going to make joseph Kony a household name
-
23:03 - 23:05Not to celebrate him
-
23:05 - 23:08But to bring his crime to the light
-
23:08 - 23:10And we are starting this year
-
23:12 - 23:15We are targeting 20 culture makers and 12 policy makers
-
23:15 - 23:28To use their power for good
-
23:28 - 23:28Let's start with the 20 culture makers
-
23:28 - 23:30Celebrities, athletes, and billionaires Have a loud voice
-
23:30 - 23:31And what they talk about spreads instantly
-
23:31 - 23:32I want. I'd like indicted war criminals to enjoy the same level of celebrity as me
-
23:32 - 23:32That seems fair
-
23:32 - 23:40That is our objective. Is to just shine a light on it
-
23:40 - 23:42If our goal is to get Kony's name known
-
23:42 - 23:44The know should join us
-
23:44 - 23:50We are targeting twenty of the most divers and influential culture makers
-
23:50 - 23:51To speak out about Kony
-
23:51 - 23:53And make him famous
-
23:53 - 23:54Then we are going after policy makers
-
23:54 - 24:01The one that has the authority to see Kony captured
-
24:01 - 24:04They decides if the advisors stay or leave
-
24:04 - 24:07So we need to remind them that in this election year
-
24:07 - 24:09The fighting and the name calling is
-
24:09 - 24:11No matter what side that you are on
-
24:11 - 24:14This is something that we could all agree on
-
24:14 - 24:19If the senators and the congressmen twenty five phone calls
-
24:19 - 24:21On any issue
-
24:21 - 24:22On any given day
-
24:22 - 24:23It is noted
-
24:23 - 24:26When citizens by the hundreds of thousands start demanding that our government do something
-
24:26 - 24:30Suddenly it becomes in the national interest of the United States government to respond to this problem
-
24:30 - 24:35We have identified the twelve policy makers
-
24:35 - 24:37That could change the game regarding Kony
-
24:37 - 24:39So we targeting them
-
24:39 - 24:41On our website we have made it easy to write them directly
-
24:41 - 24:43Call them
-
24:43 - 24:44Meet with them
-
24:44 - 24:46And get their attention
-
24:46 - 24:48If my son were kidnapped and forced to kill
-
24:48 - 24:50It would be all over the news
-
24:50 - 24:52So we are making Kony world news
-
24:52 - 24:56By redefining the propaganda we see all day, everyday
-
24:56 - 24:59That dictates who and what we pay attention to
-
24:59 - 25:02a lot of people feel powerless to communicate their ideas
-
25:02 - 25:05they think that ok you know i'm not a corporation
-
25:05 - 25:08I don't own my own magazine or news station
-
25:08 - 25:10I just don't have any say
-
25:10 - 25:12but seeing what I've done
-
25:12 - 25:15I think it's empowered a lot of people to realize that one individual
-
25:15 - 25:16can make an impact
-
25:16 - 25:18and I actually want to demystify
-
25:18 - 25:20and say here are these really simple tools :
-
25:20 - 25:22go out and rock it.
-
25:22 - 25:29And that's just what we intend to do.
-
25:29 - 25:32our goal is to change the conversation of our culture
-
25:32 - 25:36and get people to ask who is Joseph Kony
-
25:36 - 25:39We've printed hundreds of thousands of posters , stickers, yard signs
-
25:39 - 25:41and fliers
-
25:41 - 25:42that are , right now ,
-
25:42 - 25:43today,
-
25:43 - 25:45being put up in major cities around the world.
-
25:45 - 25:48We have thousands of Kony 2012 bracelets
-
25:48 - 25:50that we want everyone to wear
-
25:50 - 25:52this year only.
-
25:52 - 25:54Each bracelet has a unique ID number
-
25:54 - 25:59Input that number and you enter the mission to make Kony famous
-
25:59 - 26:03You can geo-tag your posters and track your impact in real time
-
26:03 - 26:07Everything you need is in a box called the Action Kit
-
26:07 - 26:09It has 2 bracelets, one for you and one to give away
-
26:09 - 26:14And if you want to help fund our life saving programs
-
26:14 - 26:17donate a few dollars a month through "Tri"
-
26:17 - 26:19And you can have the action kit for free
-
26:19 - 26:22Start making Kony famous today
-
26:22 - 26:25But all of these efforts will culminate in one day
-
26:25 - 26:29April 20th
-
26:29 - 26:30when we cover the night
-
26:30 - 26:31This is the day when we will meet at sundown
-
26:31 - 26:34and blink it in every street
-
26:34 - 26:35in every city
-
26:35 - 26:36till the sun comes up
-
26:36 - 26:37we will be smart and we will be thorough
-
26:37 - 26:41The rest of the world will go to bed friday night
-
26:41 - 26:44and wake up to hundreds of thousands of posters
-
26:44 - 26:46demanding justice on every corner
-
26:46 - 27:07It's always been that the decisions made by the few
-
27:07 - 27:13with the money and the power ,
-
27:13 - 27:16dictated by the priorities of their government and the stories in the media
-
27:16 - 27:20they determinate the lives and opportunities of their citizens
-
27:20 - 27:26but now there's something bigger than that
-
27:26 - 27:28the people of the world see each other
-
27:28 - 27:31and can protect each other
-
27:31 - 27:35it's turning the system upside down
-
27:35 - 27:39and it changes everything
-
27:39 - 27:40we are living in a new world , Facebook world
-
27:40 - 27:44in which 750 million people share ideas ,
-
27:44 - 27:46not thinking in borders
-
27:46 - 27:48it's a global community bigger than the U.S.
-
27:48 - 27:52Joseph Kony was committing crimes for 20 years
-
27:52 - 27:53and no one cared
-
27:53 - 27:57we care
-
27:57 - 27:59we have reached a crucial time in history
-
27:59 - 28:01where what we do or don't do
-
28:01 - 28:03will affect every generation to come
-
28:03 - 28:10arresting joseph Kony will prove
-
28:10 - 28:11that the world we live in has new rules
-
28:11 - 28:15that the technology that has brought our planet together
-
28:15 - 28:19is allowing us to respond to the problems of our friends
-
28:19 - 28:23When it ends finally by bringing Joseph Kony to justice
-
28:23 - 28:28it should be celebrated worldwide
-
28:28 - 28:29We are not just studying human history
-
28:29 - 28:33At the end of my life
-
28:33 - 28:34I want to say that the world we have left behind
-
28:34 - 28:38is one that Gavin can be proud of
